Brookfield Conservation Park

I have driven past this park over a hundred times with my frequent trips to and from the Riverland for work. Curiosity finally got the better of me so I decided to come in and activate the park. The park is a reserve for Wombats and is looked after by the Conservation Volunteers.

Operating time was not optimal as I arrived in the middle of the day which makes 40m less than ideal for low power activations. But I set up at the picnic tables to see how things would go. I ended up working 8 stations with one park to park and a SOTA activation. Using the trusty KX3 and and inverted Vee.

Stations Worked:
VK3DAC – King Lake NP, VK5STU, VK5AK, VK5PAS, VK5GJ, VK5GJ, VK5TN/M, VK1RX/VK2 – SOTA VK2/SM068

Thanks to the stations worked.
